Betty had a strong affection for the Boxer dogs she and Harold had in their home over the years. Throughout her life she maintained a great love for animals and had a constant concern for animal welfare.

Betty had been a resident of Community Memorial Health Center in Hartley, Iowa since 1997 where she received wonderful care for her particular health concerns.
