- Haverhals rites held Monday at Sioux Center
Funeral services for Mrs. John B. Haverhals, 74, of Sioux Center were held Monday in the
Bethel Christian Reformed church at Sioux Center with the Rev. C. Vander Plate officiating.
Mrs. Haverhals died Friday at a Sioux Center hospital. She had resided in the Sioux Center vicinity since coming to America in 1918 with her husband.
Born September 3, 1885 in the Netherlands, she was married there on May 26, 1910. After coming to the United States.
Mr. and Mrs. Haverhals farmed west of Sioux Center for many years.
Survivors include the husband; two sons, Adrain and John, jr., both of Hawarden; three daughters, Mrs. John Wiechers of Hawarden, Mrs. John Vande Kieft and Mrs. Floyd Van Kley both of Sioux Center; 19 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two sisters, living in the Netherlands.
Burial was in the Lebanon cemetery near Sioux Center.
